The project of the Sustainable Energy Investing and Financing Activation (SEIFA) will create incentives to increase private equity investing for the industrial decarbonisation of the built environment. The SEIFA project is focusing on investing and financing of deep renovation industrial projects, energy supply facilities and energy service companies.

The Fund will invest with a focus upon the region of the Central and Eastern Europe (CEE region), including twelve (12) Member States of the European Union (EU) and the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO). Specifically, Bulgaria, Croatia, Czechia, Estonia, Germany, Hungary, Latvia, Lithuania, Poland, Romania, Slovakia, and Slovenia but may also include neighbouring (EU Associated) countries of the aforementioned countries.

The Fund will invest with a focus on industrial companies, including manufacturing companies, industrial parks implementing sustainable energy-related modernisation plans, industrial and sustainable energy facilities (i.e., sustainable energy parks, sustainable fuels and infrastructure), and energy service providers (i.e., energy technology companies, renewable energy developers).

The Fund will invest with a focus on creating Net-zero carbon emission and fully Environment, Social, and Governance (ESG) compliant portfolio. All potential investments will be assessed against sustainability criteria fully in-line with the EU Taxonomy for Sustainable Activities and the Sustainable Finance Disclosure Regulation (SFDR).
