Romanian airports with a record increase in passenger traffic

More than 20 million people have passed through Romanian airports in 2017, according to the Romanian Airport Association. That’s a 23% increase in passenger traffic compared to 2016. The traffic in the airports has increased 10 times for the last 20 years and contributing to that are not only the big airports in big cities, but smaller airports as well. For example, the airports in Suceava, Oradea and Tulcea have increased their passenger traffic by 250% in the previous year compared to the year before that. The opening of new flight destinations by low-cost airlines also helps for the fast development of aerial transport.
