Romania – record-holder for economic growth in the EU

The value of the Romanian gross domestic product (GDP) for 2016 has reached 169 billion euro (it was 160 billion in 2015), while the economic growth is 4.8% – highest among the countries of the EU. That way, Romania has gotten its economy closer to countries such as the Czech Republic, Greece and Portugal. GDP per capita for Romania is 8933 euro – 484 euro more than it was for 2015.

In comparison, the economic growth of Bulgaria for 2016 is 3.4%, while it was 3.6% for 2015, and GDP per capita is only 6914 euro, although it has increased by 458 euro compared to 2015.
