Romania and Bulgaria strengthen agricultural cooperation

Romania and Bulgaria have agreed to work closer together to boost agriculture in the region.

The Bulgarian government this week approved a draft Protocol for cooperation between the Bulgarian Ministry of Agriculture and Food and the Romanian Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development, the press office of the Bulgarian government announced.

According to Bulgarian media, the protocol aims at exchange of experience and information, scientific studies, coordination of the common negotiation positions, developing and strengthening the cooperation under the Common Agriculture Policy (CAP), as well as in the field of agriculture, stock breeding, plant-growing, food safety, fight against animal diseases and modern methods for their recognition, and others.
