NSI registers increase of exports for the first quarter

National Statistical Institute (NSI) registers an increase of the exports of Bulgaria for the first quarter. The import is also increased, but at a slower pace. The exports to EU countries for the first three months of the year amounts to 6.9 billion levs, which is an increase of  12% compared to the same period last year. Traditionally the main trade partners are Germany, Italy, Romania, Greece, France and Belgium. For the same period, imports increased much more slowly – by 7.2%. For the period from January to March in Bulgaria were imported goods from European countries for 7.8 billion levs. The situation is similar in the trade with countries outside the European Union – exports grew by almost 14% and imports by 1.3%.
