Bulgarian Chamber of Commerce and Industry informs for the organization of Bulgarian – Romanian business forum with the participation of the President of the Republic of Bulgaria HE Mr. Rosen Plevneliev and President of Romania HE Mr. Klaus Johannis. The event is organized together with the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Romania and the Embassy of Romania in Sofia and will be held at the building of BCCI Iskar” Str.” 9 – Sofia, 1st floor, Hall A on 15 June 2016 from 16.30 h.
Romania is a traditional trade partner of Bulgaria. The country is on third place as an export partner of Bulgaria in the EU after Germany and Italy and on fourth place in the world after Germany, Italy and Turkey. In 2015 the trade turnover between Bulgaria and Romania marked a record in trade and economic relations in recent years – € 3 680.6 million, as Bulgaria has improved its exports to Romania and it is in positive balance.
The main goods, which Bulgaria exports to Romania are: tractors, bars of iron, machinery for harvesting, petroleum oils, corn, medicines, mineral and chemical fertilizers, wheat and rye. The leading products in import from our North neighbor are: petroleum oils and oils obtained from bituminous minerals; waste and scrap of copper; petroleum gases and other gaseous hydrocarbons; pneumatic tires of rubber; oil cake and other solid residues; insecticides, passenger cars and others.
The sectors of two-sided interest, defined by the Romanian partners include: energy, food processing, information technology, e-commerce, automotive, building materials, recycling, oil and gas. BCCI will send an additional list of Romanian business delegation.
