Bulgaria and Romania withdraw their objections against the trade agreement the EU-Canada, after they have received written assurances from Ottawa, that visas for their citizens fall by the end of 2017.
This was announced by Prime Minister Boyko Borisov to bulgarian journalists in Brussels, where he participated in a meeting of European Council, reported BTA.
The president of Romania – Klaus Johannis said in Friday, that his government will no longer block the problem agreement for a free trade between EU and Canada, after Bucharest reached an agreement with Ottawa on the cancellation of visas for Romanian citizens, reported AFP.
In his words Canada has agreed to cancel all visas requirements for Romanian citizens from December 1, 2017. However, if the number of illegal immigrants pass a level, the Canada reserves the right of temporary restoration of the visa regime, added the Romanian leader.
