BRCCI shared the magic of Christmas with friends and partners from Bulgaria and Romania

Music, cheerful atmosphere and lots of positive emotions – that is a short description of the Christmas celebration, organized by Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, which took place in December 16th, 2017 in the village of Mechka, Ruse. 85 people attended the event, among which was Mr. Radu-Calin Moldovan – Economic Counselor of the Embassy of Romania, and Mr. Ivaylo Marinov – First Secretary for Commercial and Economic Affairs in the Bulgarian Embassy in Romania. Representatives of many Bulgarian and Romanian companies and institutions participated as well.

The evening began with piano and ballet performances, Bulgarian and Romanian Christmas carols and dances, introduced by children from 1st to 11th grade. The talented kids received special gifts and Donation Certificates, because with their participation began a series of initiatives of the Bulgarian Romanian Children’s Fund in 2018.

A raffle was organized for the guests and more than 30 presents were given away – presents, which were generously provided by various contributors*. The lucky winners received hand-made soaps with essential oils, sweets with einkorn wheat, designed aroma candles, elite wines, boutique jewelry, cups and other interesting stuff.

The culmination of the event was an auction for unique objects, generously donated in support of the Bulgarian-Romanian Children’s Fund. Among them was a male and a female set of cosmetics with natural extracts of soap fruit and essential oils, a bottle of Cabernet Sauvignon 2012 – winner of 6 medals from international competitions, a set of bio-oils, hand-made beaded jewelry, an acrylic painting made by an artist with exhibitions in New York and Washington, as well as a painting made by a ninth-grader from the English Language School in Ruse, depicting the Dohodno Zdanie building from 1974. The money, collected from the auction, will be used to accomplish the planned initiatives of the Bulgarian-Romanian Children’s Fund in 2018 with the purpose of supporting different cooperation activities for kids from the two neighboring countries in the fields of education, health, culture and sports.
