The 3-day national mourning continues after it was announced on Saturday by the authorities after the tragedy in Bucharest, where a fire and the subsequent stampede at a nightclub killed 30 people and nearly 200 were injured. Many of the wounded were in critical condition, said a spokeswoman for the Romanian interior ministry.
The fire exploded on Friday night in a club in Bucharest during a pyrotechnic show on a concert of the band Goodbye to Gravity. At the time of the incident there have been up to 500 people in the nightclub.
This is the worst tragedy in Romania’s recent history. Thousands of Romanians leave flowers at the site of the fire and hundreds were those who waited in long lines to donate blood.
Bulgarian-Romanian Chamber of Commerce and Industry expresses its condolences to the families of the deceased and wounded.
